Here are a few pictures from our re-filming.

Brighton Filming

During half-term, we will be visiting Brighton to finish the narrative sequence to our music video. We aim to film the band at Brighton Pier, where they shall go on the attractions and visit areas of the pier. We saw Brighton Pier as a prime location for youth, having being the setting of rock films, such as Quadrophenia. We also aim to visit the beach, were Sam will go into the sea. This will be shocking to our audience as it will be winter, but this sort of footage will give the band its persona. We will also visit the town centre, but will be looking out for bright locations, that will make our music video interesting, contrasting the overcast weather that we are expecting. The band will be behaving laddish, which will also help us to create a persona that relates to our audience.

Re-filming Tuesday 10th Febraury

What equipment we will need:

• Full drum kit
• Guitars x2
• One Microphone
• One Microphone stand
• Amps x2
• One Light kit
• One tri-pod
• One camera
• Drum sticks

What went wrong last time?

We positioned the light incorrectly, causing our footage to appear dark in certain areas. This has lowered the quality of our footage and meant that we have had to re-film. Also, our lip-syncing did not go too well, as our lead-singer's face was hidden behind the microphone,  making it incredibly hard for us to work out what was being said. 

How we shall fix this?

We will make sure, before we film, that the lighting is positioned correctly and look through the camera to see if the light effects the visuals, lowering the quality. We view that two light kits makes the room to bright, even with the black curtains blocking out the light. Therefore, using one kit, means we have to get the lighting almost perfect, so that it is not too dark nor too light. To make sure that we can work out what our lead-singer is saying, we shall avoid using stills directly in front of the microphone. We shall be more creative, using more close-ups from all around the performance area, which will make our visuals more interesting.
